Alison and Martin are both driven by strong values and ethics. They include 'giving back' to society. Where possible they use their professional skills on a voluntary/pro bono basis or work at a significantly discounted rate.
Alison volunteers as Chair of Trustees for MindOut (a mental health charity run by and for LGBTQ people) and as Trustee for the Spinal Injuries Association. In both cases she provides her skills including business leadership, transformation, fundraising and public speaking (to gain support and reduce stigma) for the the charity and their service users/benefactors. Alison also works with individual coachees on a Dana or 'generous giving' basis. This is a practice rooted in Buddhism where individuals pay what they can afford in return for coaching, enabling people to access coaching who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it.
Martin supports the Windsor Leadership charity as a volunteer facilitator on UK-residential and international programme variants for those with the potential to reach senior leadership positions within their field. Through a bursary, Windsor Leadership support leaders from all sectors of society, ensuring leaders from faith groups and not-for-profits can afford to participate in their programmes.
Both also work with charities at a discounted rate along sided their work in the private and public sectors.
