Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Development Programmes
We have been running programmes in-house for organisations. They've been so successful we decided to run them as open programmes too. There are no requirements for attending beyond a willingness for personal development in the context of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion which can be applied to your work in your field. These programmes are for:
Organisational leaders in all professions
HR professionals
Organisation Development and Leadership Development professionals
In-house leaders and external consultants
We have two key programmes, the DEI Development Programme and the Courageous Inclusion Programme.

Mural and Mentimeter are used to create a resource for the cohort throughout the programme

Activities between workshops include research, experimentation and practical application
Outcomes of the programme include:
Co-creating a common language around DE&I for the cohort
Improving your DE&I awareness and expertise including application into your work context
Developing your DE&I leadership skills to anticipate and respond to issues in our current context
Increasing awareness of your individual complex identities including privileged and disadvantaged aspects; including integration of these into your presence
Developing emotional intelligence & reflective learning skills, increase awareness of your power and how you can use it to nurture uniqueness and create inclusive teams
All themes and content would be adapted to ensure relevance to your work and personal context
This is an intensive learning experience and requires a commitment to self-development.

Testimonials and outcome statistics
When asked, What would you say to anyone considering investing in this programme? Previous attendees responded…
"Do it. The value this adds to the team is huge, BUT be prepared to step into some discomfort, confront some difficult topics and stories and learn from each other."
"IT IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PROGRAMMES YOU WILL EVER TAKE PART IN - IT WILL ENRICH AND BROADEN YOUR WORKING LIFE."
"Personally, I've been able to hear people talk about their identities and experiences in a very open and honest way - this has been really powerful. Especially those with less privilege, it is still such a taboo topic in workplaces, and hearing the conversations happening has been impactful. For Strengthscope, it built engagement and connection between team members, which I would expect to translate into increased trust in the team and more comfort with challenging each other."
"This is important work for any business. It is uncomfortable, but so is any change that is worthwhile."
Key outcome statistics from previous programmes
Even before our programme, Strengthscope® had great results for inclusion and belonging in their annual employee survey and a culture measure. We therefore knew improvements would be difficult to gain. Indeed, we anticipated some measures would reduce, based on increased awareness of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and all of what they entail in practice.
We collected responses to the following questions before and after our programme. Some of the most impactful outcomes included
The last couple of measures decreased. Ultimately we were all pleased with this. We would suggest the possibility of being 100% intentionally inclusive, all of the time, of all diversity (especially when you apply a global lens) is impossible. So, the reduction from 100% to 88% feels really positive. Similarly we are pleased that people will hopefully be more motivated to build intentionally more diverse and inclusive professional networks.
